Completed my OFC / VAC interview at Chennai on 10th Aug 2015 :

    A) The address for the VAC is not on Cenotaph Road anymore, it's close to 'Valuvar Kottam', another landmark is the 'Valluvar Kottam Water Tower'.
The official address that's mentioned in the VAC appointment letter is '82, Kodambakkam High Road'.
It's in a building called 'Good Sheperd' & has a Samsung board on the outside.
The entrance is at the rear of this building, search for 'Subbarayan Street' on Google-Maps.

    B) If you're in time for your appointment, just approach the security with your appointment letter & you will be sent inside
Do not be confused by the people queuing in front of the gate as I was
I waited in the queue for 10 whole minutes before realizing that the people in the queue were not waiting in line for their appointments !

    C) You'll need only the following 3 documents for the VAC appointment :
    1) VAC Appointment Letter
    2) Passport
    3) DS-160 Printout
There's no need for anything else, neither are the VAC folks authorized nor qualified to look at any other documents

    D) Ensure the DS-160 form has the correct information
A number of applicants were turned away since their details in their Passports & DS-160s didn't match
If you can edit your DS-160 within 4 hours of your appointment time, you will still be allowed in

The entire VAC appointment will be completed in less than 10 minutes.

    I need Help!

I have my Biometrics appointment on 13th November '15 in Mumbai and Visa interview on 19th November '15 in Delhi. I had to last minute change my appointment dates as Lufthansa went on a strike and I would have missed my Biometric appointment. Now I have a few questions and would be really glad if someone could reply to me as soon as possible.

    1. Can I have the two appointments in different cities? I know 2 people answered this question above, but one said yes one said no. The thing is the system let me choose different cities, so I am assuming I can do it in different cities, but just wanted to be sure.

    2. I have rescheduled my appointment once already. What is the maximum times I can reschedule my appointment?

    3. Anyone who has recently done Biometrics, could you please tell me if I need to get a visa picture clicked or not? When I had gone for my student visa I didn't need one and had clicked at the Consulate itself.

    4. Now this is a big one. So I just realized that the H1B is valid till 16th September 2018 and my Passport is valid till 16 November 2018. Now, would there be a problem, since my passport expires after 2 months of my visa expiration? (the website says passport should be valid till 6 months beyond intended stay.) Now, I checked similar issues on other forums and looks like Indian Gov. renews passport only 12 months before expiration date of passport, so i cant get a new passport right now. Anyways, I am going to visit India once or more before my passport expires and I didn't realize at all since my passport expiration was so far away. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks for your help in advance!!!
