I'd suggest u look at the fees section of the univs...but far as I know u mass, gatech, osu would be a little expensive....usc is a private school so its quite expensive. By a good amount....ncsu, u Minn tend to be cheaper

Sorry for posting again and again...but here is the final list I made after planning for a lot of time

    VLSI:
    ASU
    UMNTC

    Embedded
    UNCC
    Ga Tech
    Virginia Tech
    RIT(Rochester)
    UTD(texas Dallas)
    North Carolina State University

Should I go ahead in these.

I have 1 more doubt....Can I start the application process now for fall'13???

...yes u can go ahead. tht sounds like a very good mix of unis to me....

and check the links. some unis may have applications open. for safety email the grad dept and see.

August end should be fine (generally early birds start around this time)

I came across the financial document page of GaTech in which they have mentioned the i20 amount as 67k$.I mean thay have not even given the breakup, how can the amount turn out to be so much, even USC which is considered one of the costliest schools, have i20 amount around 51k$.Can it be possible that the total expenses can come out to be quite less that the mentioned ones in Gatech?

Can I replace RIT with another good univ?I added RIT bcoz I was little bit skeptical about getting admits,Even if I remove RIT,do i have sufficient safe universities to get an admit??

I20s in generally are very hiked! except tuition, all others will be substantially lower....BUT u will have to show tht much funds for ur Visa....EVERY SINGLE I20 is infalted....the idea is - suppose u need Rs 100 minimum and tht can stretch to Rs 170 maximum, if the uni mentions this, then u will correctly get Rs 100 or Rs 110 (cuz u will assume u can manage)...wat if costs etc go up?? so uni asks u to get Rs 250, so tht u can definitely take care of the maximum limit of Rs 170 PLUS have some spare money for suddent inflation.

BUT pls be aware tht u definitely need to show funds for the I20 amount

I am really confused about one last university in the above list(planning to replace RIT),can I add 1 moderate university instead of RIT???If yes, which one would be better considering the fact that I will first take embedded and then switch to VLSI as specialization.
I have a rough list for the last slot.Which 1 university I should choose???
    Clemson
    Ohio State
    University of Florida,Gainsville
    RIT

Can I replace RIT and add nothing....i.e go forward with 7 universities???Does my profile has enough potential to get me an admit in some out of 7 universities???
