But univs lyk NCSU asked for 500 word sop......
Try for around 600 to 650 words....or maybe 700 or so max....it'll be better. 869 is fine IF it has relevant information.
But univs lyk NCSU asked for 500 word sop......
then concise it further if they mention, then stick to it...else try for 650-700

I wanted to ask you that many univs mention that they require degree certificates?? Do i need to furnish the xerox copy of the degree to them?
Not at time of application
My final list is:
ASU
Clemson
UTD
Virginia Tech
Georgia Tech
University of Southern California
University of North Carolina Charlotte
North Carolina State University
Should i also consider CMU and is it better to go for USC than UCI as admit chances are more in USC
Considering cmu is upto you...and as for USC, its a good uni but its private and so quite expensive!
How is Ohio State for embedded???Actually as I have relevent projects done in embedded,so I am planning to apply for embedded systems and then switch to VLSI?
Ohio is generally known for CS courses. For EE too its good. But abt embedded in particular, am not sure...but its a good uni neverthless.
And yes u can switch.
