Thread: Article: Profile Evaluation for MS in US and PhD in USA - Choose Right Schools

hello Sir,
I have booked my Gre on 1st october. I graduated from Mumbai university this june. however my first two years of engg. werent good at all, and finally had a drop in my second year due you family conditions and health issues. However after I cleared my drop , there was a constant progress and I graduated my BE with first class. my Agg. comes to 58%. I know it is not impressive, so are there any chances of compensating my average past performance with a good gre score and getting into a decent university? i know i am not expecting Agrade universities but i just wanted to know if i still have any chances? i got 85% in 10th and 70% in my 12th grade.

TOEFL- yet to be taken (expecting around 90)
B.E- 8.53 (CGPA)
Inter- 88%
10th- 88.33 %
Projects- 1. In Power electronics
2. In power systems
3. In embedded systems (Basic)
In-plant Training's : In 2 power plants for 3 weeks....
Papers :1 is published in International Journal and one yet to be published.
Should i retake GRE ..??
and What are the Univ I can get with this profile for MS in EE...

Experience: Researcher as over 4 years.
M.Sc: 3.17/4, Applied Physics,Electronics and Comm. Eng.
B.Sc(Hons.): 2nd Class 15th (47.48%), we didn't have a provision of backlog or reappear.
Please give me some suggestions that where I can apply.....................

Thats all. I'm very worried about my undergrad result. Please give me some suggestions, so I can overcome this impediment.
