    1) Almost fully funded. u'll have to shell out very very marginal costs.

    2) No usual fees as such. I suggest u actually contact the depts for tht. they will surely clarify.

    3) No cons as such Pro is, ur a PhD! tht opens up doors in both research as well as industry. But getting the core job may be a little tough.

    4) U can get funding. But initially u may have to apply for a small bank loan. I suggest u contact some professors in various unis and ask the about this.

    5) Well, frankly for PhD they generally look at high UG score, high gre and sometimes either lotta research papers/international publiactions. Ur work in TCS may not add much as it is an IT company and u wanna apply for EE. so the work exp will be irrelevant.

I suggest u check with some counsellors like edwise or jamboree or studyplaces<dot>com to evaluate ur chances. Or u can check with the site admin Ajay Cherkuree. He is in the US now and will give u better idea. I personally fell ur profile may be a little weak for all the unis except U of virgina and maybe clemason

Ummm you can look into that. Again it might be touch and go. But with some good lors from ur superiors at tcs (telling about ur comp sci proficiency) and maybe some mention of good solid projects done at tcs would get u through....u stand better chances if u choose a comp sci stream that is similar to ur work exp stream.

As to unis, there are LOADS. I suggest u check the profile evaluation section of msinus.com....take a list of unis and check their websites to see about comp sci dept. For PhD its kinda hard to actually say wat is within reach...you could check with various communities on facebuk too
