Thread: Please evaluate my profile...

My GRE Score: 292 ( Verbal -136, Quant -156 & AWA-3)

10th -82%
12th - 86%
B.Tech - 76%

Toefl - waiting for score

I have done B.Tech(IT) in 2011 , no experience in organization. M i able to get the admission in MS(Computer Science) for the Spring sem. in US.Is my profile eligible to get admission in NJIT, Rutgers, Boston, NYU? Aslo plesae sugest some university nearby New jerey or new york.

Whn should i apply for the admission as i missed the dates for the fall 2012.

Rohit srry to dissapoint you but your overall GRE score is pretty low for colleges like Rutgers, Boston, NYU etc..(They require a min score of 312,just to be eligible)...but on the bright side you've got good acads.BTW...why New York/ New Jersey?Does a relative of urs live der or is it just coz u like the place?? here are some colleges which i would suggest for you(with respect to your GRE score):

SUNY Albany :Safe
SUNY Binghamton : Mod
NJIT : Mod
IIT Chicago : Safe
University of Texas at Arlington : Mod
University of Cincinnati : Ambitious(But you can try)
Texas Tech University : Mod
Wichita State University : Safe
Florida State University : Tough

Why are you aiming for the spring session?? Wat i would suggest is that go re-take GRE score atleast above 310 this time and during this time try to get some good certifications and do some internships as well..as you have good acads this will further help you get into pretty decent universities..or if u still want to stick with it then ive given you the list of the colleges..but if you are hell bent on doing MS near NY/NJ then dude you have to improve your GRE or you can wait for an admit from the above mentioned 3 universities(Top 3).
