Hey swathi if u haven't written GRE yet don't be so sure abt ur score..im not tryin to dishearten you or sumthin..wat im saying is dat u may score even more or (god forbid) u may score less than wat u said.See if you are saying this on the basis of the GRE mock tests let me clear up something for you, people generally score 100 marks more in the mock test than in the original(there was a survey abt it). Its good dat you are confident and you do need it for the exam.

Ok so lemme see, ur cgpa is pretty good and u wanna do ms in n/w security ryt? so i would suggest to further strengthen ur profile..there's a course by cisco called CCNA(Cisco Certified Network Associate) its pretty easy try doing this it will strengthen you profile even more..and as u still have time, do some projects related to networking. I've applied this year for MSc in Computer Networks and lot of my seniors in the US suggested me the same.

You knw you have a lot of Ambitious universities.Try dropping some of them and here are some safe universities you can try :

Rutgers, State Univ of NJ, New Brunswick

John Hopkins University

BTW: You Serious abt you cousine getting into UCB with just 1100..i mean ive heard people get into Yale with a score of 1090 or sumthing like dat but to Uni of Cali-B
Wat was his ug %age and did he publish any papers(intl and national).

All in all i would like to tell you that try to score a min of 165 in quant (try for even more) and yeah the verbal score is pretty decent and ya wat about TOEFL when r u planning to rite it? try scoring above 110 in it.

thanks a lot...Yeah am planning to give my toefl exam soon..My cousin though she has average gre score,she had 2 experience from MNC (INFOSYS)...so,she is passed out from ucb n she got permanent job too...I dont know abt publishing papers...ill ask her and post later

Thank you harsha..atleast suggest me sets of different 4 universties good for network security..like set of 4 universities for gre score 325+ by considering my profile and set of 4 universites for gre score 315+..If u provide me set of universities, i can forward my score to those universities on the exam day successfully
