Kishan: You have an excellent profile and you should be able to get in to top schools, depending upon what you want to specialize in (Thermal Sciences, Design, Manufacturing, etc). Mechanical Engineering is not the most popular field, so the supply-demand equation is in your favor. The key differentiator for you will be your SOP and on our website (Rao Advisors - search for SOP in the search box), I have listed out detailed instructions on how to develop a strong SOP. With a strong SOP, you can aim to apply to University of Illinois—Urbana-Champaign; Purdue; Carnegie Mellon; University of Michigan—Ann Arbor and Cornell. Good luck!
