First face the embassy and see whether you get accepted or rejected, after that look to quit the job or not!

If you receive admit and the university suits you properly, leave the company straight away.
You can talk with HR right now about possibility of leaving, as it will help you in negotiating contract break amount.
Yeah, even i am aware about the ridiculous contract system. But dude, go for MS rather than sticking there.

    Hello everyone,
I do have a similar query but my condition is different. I am working for 1 year and 8 months in a decent IT firm with starting Package of 4.5L and annual growth of 1L, consistently. I have taken GRE and my profile is :
    GRE : 321(Verbal - 156, Quant - 165)
    TOEFL : Scheduled
    B.Tech C.S.E : 76%
    12th : 86%
    10th : 88%
    Sun Certified Java Programmer

Now i am in a dilemma over MS. Would there be enough Return Over Investment if i give away my job. There are news for reduced H1B Visa and hence job opportunities. Would it be wise for me to go for a course ? Please help me.

    Hello Amber,
You have pretty good profile, I would suggest you to go for MS
Apply for scholarships, talk to profs of different university and go for it.
You would get at least 3 times.....
