Hi Srira,
Is it true? I'm neither an IITian nor NITian. Man, I had high hopes on it. But look, one of my friends (B.E. Electronics from my college and M.Sc. from IMSc) got admit for Ph.D in Physics.
Hi Aero,
I am not telling you that you won't get an admit at TAMU. All I am telling you is that TAMU in never a safe option unless you have an exceptional profile.And it is true that IITans and NITans have an edge over other Indian applicants. If you know some seniors from your college who went to TAMU, connect with them and understand more about their profile. Getting an admit is not all about GRE,TOEFL,GPA or work experience. Sometimes the research ideas you have or the clarity of your future plans will play a major role in admission process.
Sorry if this did not answer your query.But this is just what I meant when I posted a reply for your thread.
@Aero
Apply to NCSU and Georgia Tech.
P.S: You' definitely get into Ann Arbor. I'm assuming you have worked at a nationally/globally recognised company. I wouldn't worry much if I were you.
Cheers
