Your friends are right up to some point; its definitely easier getting visa in the stream in which you have done your masters. But it does not mean that you absolutely can't get visa if you apply for it using a cs admit. In fact, considering your java background, it would be perfectly fine for you to do so. In us, people change their majors from bs to ms all the time. So don't worry about visa. Rather you should go where your interest lies, as after all you'll be studying that course for 2 years in your ms!!

    All the best

    Hi Bindu
doing ms in cs or ee doesn't matter unless u have good command on both of them and as far as I consider going to electronics is much better bcoz its a core for u and ofcourse getting visa is all depends on your luck on that day.
