@ Sherzil .. I did not receive the official admission letter yet . Just got the e-mail.

How is the university? How is the CS dept over there ?And how are the job prospects? I have admits from Ok state, UT Arlington and New Mexico State Univs. Is IIT better than these univs?

Hi hrithik, i had friends out there who passed from IIT chicago and they all are doing well. me too applied in IIT chicago , i have 4 yrs It experience.. with 294 gre.. 103 toefl awa=3.5 and no back logs..also have 2 oracle certification..prob is its over 12-13 days i have sent my package but my status is not updated..doest it take long for them..do you think i have applied late.. other readers please suggest too.

I applied on Nov 25th 2011 and received the admit on March 1st week . they updated the details in the online portal in 2 weeks after i submit my package.
So don't worry, they ll update soon. If not, shoot a mail to the grad office. And the deadline is MAY 1 ,so i don't think u have applied late.

I have got admits from other univs as well ( UT Arlington, Oklahoma State univ- stillwater, New mexico state univ) for MS in Computer Science. Is IIT chicago better than these univs ?

I am at the same place as you are..but i think its IIT vs UT arlington...if that would have been the case i wud have chosen a univ which is cheaper so in this case ofcourse UT arlington. in IIT per cedit cost around $1000 where as UTA costs much less..so i wud suggest UTA..on top of that texas is cheaper than chicago..

have you submitted ur financial doc and received I20??? i have not submitted my finance doc..will that affect their admission decesion?????
