    Spring 2015 | MS | Computer Science | G.R.E :296 | TOEFL : 90 | U.G Acads : 79%

    Hi,

    I'm interested in MS in Computer Engineering/Computer Science Engineering.
    I want to eventually pursue a career in software industry, but since I have a Bachelors Degree in Electronics & Communication Engineering I'm thinking of applying to MS in Computer Engineering (wherever available in my list of universities) to improve my chances of getting an admit.
    Please share your opinion on this.

    My profile:

    1. GRE : 296 (V:139/Q:157)
    2. TOEFL : 90
    3. B.Tech in Electronics & Communication Engineering
    4. Percentage : 79 (Also, dept. topper - 84 if u need to know)

    5. Course Projects:
    a) On Micro-controller using C- Language.
    b) Automated Test System for Conditioning Unit using LabVIEW.

    6. Non Course Project:
    Two non academic projects on circuit analysis.


    7. Work Experience:
    a) 2 year and 6 month experience (by the time I apply) as a Developer in JAVA at Infosys Ltd [Completed 3 Projects in different frameworks of JAVA].

    8. Extra Curricular:
    a) Won a technical quiz.
    b) Organizer for 7 event college events.
    c) "Raising Start" award at Infosys for good coding.

    Please help me evaluate my chances at following universities:
    1) University of Oklohoma
    2) Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis
    3) Northern Illinois University
    4) Southern Illinois University-Edwardsville
    5) Oklahoma State University
    6) NDSU
    7) Syracuse university

    Please help me.

    Hi Danielynch,
    I came up with few more universities. Can you please help me about my chances in getting into these universities.

    1. University of Texas Arlington
    2. UNC charlotte
    3. Michigan Technological University


    If possible please suggest some public universities for my profile.
