Relation between unemployment and Visa approval

Hi, I am Sharanya from Bangalore and I completed my BE in Civil engineering in June 2011 and I decided on applying for MS in US for fall 2012. Consequently, I received an admit from Carnegie Mellon University for the course Mechanics materials and computing by the end of February 2012. After passing out from BE I've been unemployed and currently I am undergoing a proficiency course on Finite element analysis at Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore, which I have recognized to be highly beneficial for me in future during my graduate studies in US. I wanted to know, will this unemployed status affect my VISA approval? Is there a minimum employment period criteria after attaining Bachelor's degree for pursuing higher education in US?

There is no unemployment condition for F1 Visa approval.
Since you are doing FEA couse, you can mention that in visa interview if they ask you about what you were doing after b.tech
