First take down your GRE & TOEFL/IELTS and after that if you get 320+ and 110+/7 respectively, then we can try in some good universities but not sure about the top 15 as the competition in today's world is way too high!

Thank you Harsha!! I have taken up the gre date for 30th april. I have registered as Meghana JR but in the passport it is Meghana Raj Jayanarasimha. In my 10th and 12th marks card, driver's license and all other documents it is Meghana J R. I called up the Harayana prometric office and they said cancel the test n give your name as it is in the passport. But i will be sending my transcripts to the universities where it is Meghana J R. Will it be a problem for me? Should i cancel the test or go ahead? Bangalore centre said i can take the test but they cannot assure me that i will not face problems in the future. Please help.

Yes, it will definitely be a problem. Change your name to exactly like the passport one and then face it otherwise you gonna have to face some issues later in future.

Considering the problem in hand, your case is similar to mine rather it more like one and the same. See my name mentioned in the passport is Sriharsha Dhanyamraju Sri Naga whereas in my college transcripts and other documents its D.S.Sriharsha..so wat i did was i made an affidavit stating that both the above mentioned names are one and the same. Get this done..this will be very helpful as some universities may ask you to submit it. For GRE yeah u should dfntly change ur name on it to the exact one as on your passport. See in my TOEFL exam i had written my name as D.S.Sriharsha and this caused me a lot of headaches. Universities were finding it difficult to locate my score and i had to mail them with my details and then send them this affidavit too.So do change it and do get the affidavit made.
