    Evaluate my profile - MS in US, Computer Science

    Hi, Prashanth here. I have written old GRE pattern. Converted marks are
    Verbal - 145
    Quantitative - 155
    Analytical - 4.0

    I'm yet to write TOEFL. Got 6.94 cgpa (out of 10) in B.E and have 7 months' work experience till date.

    I want to do MS in Computer Science in the US for fall 2014. Could you please suggest some good universities for my profile?

    Syracuse : Apply to CE department instead of CS department , course work is almost same as CS. initially they give 30 % fee waiver . chances of getting funding after you join is slim. course work is very good for CS .

    UIC : decent university , nice location.

    Drexel univeristy

    Univ of Pittsburgh

    RIT : When you check the ranking it's ranked low .but this univ has good CS department .
    downside : located in upstate newyork weather is cold.

    Hi, first of all I want to thank the both of you for your inputs.

    If you don't mind my asking, cherukuri_ajay could you please elaborate on what the ups and downs are in the four universities you had suggested?
    And jeevitha, this might sound vague but what are UIC and RIT?

    Oh okay thanks. And by the way a friend of mine is at University of Central Florida and he says I'd get the admit for sure. What are your takes on this? Also are there any ambitious universities that I can aim for?
