Hi,

My F1 visa got approved on May 22 at Chennai consulate.
Interview was over in like 5 mins and the only docs I had to show was GRE/TOEFL score card.

My details as below :
GRE - 1310 (old format, 520 Verbal, 790 Quants)
Toefl - 107 (ibt)
UG - 8.24/10

Before interview with VO, in another counter my passport and DS 160 were verified and rubber banded together.
I had provided my SEVIS receipt also during this verification but they gave it back and I kept it in my file.

Interview went as below :
VO : Hi, good morning, How r u doing?
me : Good morning, am doing good, how r u doing?
VO : am doing good... can I have ur ds 160?
me : yes... here it is (open rubber band and pass ds 160)
VO : can I have ur passport?
me : give that...
VO : SEVIS fee receipt?
me : wasnt it with the other form (I think SEVIS was also in the rubber banded docs and have given it to him)
VO : u just gave me ur passport (he checks, I check and I think that I have lost it! Open file jus to cross verify and I find it there!)
me : oh sorry.. here it is.. they separated it so I forgot I had this here...
VO : no problem... at least I did not loose it (with a smile)
me : sorry...
VO : asks details of schools I went to and my Btech scores... (think he was going thru my ds160 on his system)
me : give details...
VO : asks for GRE/TOEFL score cards...when I am taking them out VO says : I like ur organization of docs (seeing my separate folders for educational, financial docs etc.)...
me : thanks and give scorecards to him...
VO : wow.. congrats...
me : thanks ....
VO : who is going to finance you?
me : Dad and give his full designation (dont say anything about his salary or about my financial proofs)
VO : ur visa issued...

Do not hide/enter any false info in ds 160...
VOs will infact try making u comfortable (he said liked my organization although thought had almost lost my SEVIS)
DS160, Appointment confirmation letter, Visa fee receipt, SEVIS receipt, i20 n Passport more important docs....
Keeping cool and confident in interview work out things fine....

All d best 2 all...
