    Hello *********,

I pursued my B.Tech in Electronics and Communication. Is it going to cause a problem, as I am not from CS? Also could you please let me know whether work ex is going to help?

I would like to add one more point:
I also have a work ex of 4 months as a lecturer in an Engg college. Is that going to help?

As far as Major for MIS isconcerned, I have not yet decided on that.

Request to help with my queries.

    Thanks in advance.

[*********] There should not be any issue regarding your selection of major. However, you might be required to take some additional courses/pre-requisites. The number of pre-req's depend on the concerned dept. discretion.

Certainly your work experience should allow you to get funding and also might waive some of your pre-req's if you chose to select CS/MIS.

[*********] It will definitely be an added advantage in acquiring funding (Teaching Assistantship).

As far as Major for MIS isconcerned, I have not yet decided on that.

Hi amitt72. I know Texas A&M International University is not in your listing but I still wanted to reach out to you and share more about out MS-IS program. Our MS-IS program/curriculum has been currently modified to focus more on Systems Analysis, Information Security and Business Analytics. These changes will be effective Fall 2013. If you wish to obtain more information please do not hesitate in emailing me at business@tamiu.edu or lnochebuena@tamiu.edu.
