    TAL(Technology Alert List) for F1 Visa

    If your major is in TAL List, visa officer he may put hold on your F1 Visa under Technology Alert List). Usually TAL processing will take 2 weeks to 2 months.

    Not all F1 Visa applicants get TAL. Visa officer will decide whether you are going to be under TAL or not. You don't need to take any precautions now.

    You can contact the university in case if you get TAL.
