11-22-2012 02:26 PM #3i too had with sam experience on 21st nov at chennai at counter no 8 at 7.30 am, i am the first in counter 8, he just asked me why chennai and i sadi that i am doing job in bangalore so chennai is nearer then he saw all teh dcouments i-20,gre,ielts,passport,ds,sevis and said you are rejetced,,,no question nothing and i dont know whe he done becaues of chennai or due to my academics he didnt explained me...what i should do? do i aplly again in hyderbad as i am from hdyerabad or to have changes in my gre...

@vishnu43: Following are reasons for your refusal:
1) Low GRE score
2) Low IELTS score
3) 5 Backlogs and not so flattering UG percentage
4) Low ranked university
5) No work experience to counteract/mitigate low gre scores and acads
6) Seemed like you were a mediocre student who didn't find a decent job here and were desperate to go to US ( what I feel like is that you might also have kept Canada as a backup option...if so try under SPP, you might manage to get a visa...forget US for sure....

i had a similar experience today at hdyerabad(f-1 english language applicant)
but in my situation vo never asked for supporting documents she only asked for passport and i-20 after i handed

vo:what is your father
me:he runs his own business why mannufactuers beverages and mineral water
vo:im sorry i can not issue visa at this time.
i was like wtf went on wrong,not even asking of proff.
vo handed a sheet with 214(b).
please tell me why would she not ask for supporting document brfore making a decision.
