    Question MS in Instrumentation. I'm facing trouble.. Please help..!!!

    Hello friends,
    Iím Kalpesh. Iím planning to apply for MS with major in Instrumentation. I,m facing lot of trouble in finding suitable universities. Can you please evaluate my profile and suggest me Universities in USA for pursuing MS in Instrumentation and control or automation, industrial instrumentation, process control there..? I would really appreciate your kind help.
    I graduated from COEP, Pune as Instrumentation and Control Engineer in the year 2010. Since then I have been working in Adani Power Limited (a 4620MW Thermal Power project), Gujarat, as a Senior Engineer.

    Undergraduate CGPA: 7.71/10, average GPA in TE and BE 8.06/10
    Revised GRE score: 314/140 (V-152/170, Q 162/170)
    TOEFL score: 95.
    DESIRED FIELD- M.S in Instrumentation Engineering.
    Undergraduate projects:
    Mini project: Real Time Clock (RTC) based device ON/OFF controlling using PIC microcontroller.
    Final Year project: Improving performance parameters of boiler using continuous and override control using DeltaV DCS system.
    Internships:
    30 days internship in Crystalline InfoTech, Pune wherein I learned about solutions and end-to-end Integrated Electronic Product Design Services in Embedded domain from Product Conceptualization to End Prototype Design, fabrication & Testing, etc.
    No papers published.
    Work experience:
    Professional with 2.5 + years of experience in different areas of C&I including review engineering, commissioning and O&M of power projects with installed capacity of 330MW (subcritical) and 660MW (supercritical) technologies.

    I request you to evaluate my profile and suggest me safe universities for pursuing MS in Instrumentation Engineering in USA, wherein I might get admit.

    you are right, actually I should have come up with my own list.
    Anyways, here is my list.

    North Carolina State University
    Pennsylvania State University
    Iowa State University
    University of Florida
    Texas A & M University, College Station
    Arizona State University
    State University of New York, Buffalo
    University of Arkansas, Fayetteville
    Oklahoma State University
    Rochester Institute of Technology

    My very basic question is that should i apply to Dept. of Electrical Engineering or Industrial Engineering..?
    I tried to search on msinus.com for similar cases, but I haven't find any convincing answer.
    Please Help..

    Well it completely depends on specific school, some school might have a relevant course of your choice under ECE dept, some might have it under Mech. dept. As far as your list is concerned :

    North Carolina State University - mod/amb
    Pennsylvania State University - v.amb
    Iowa State University - v.amb
    University of Florida - amb
    Texas A & M University, College Station - drop
    Arizona State University - mod/safe
    State University of New York, Buffalo - mod
    University of Arkansas, Fayetteville - no idea
    Oklahoma State University - mod
    Rochester Institute of Technology - mod

    Stony Brook University, SUNY
    Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey, New Brunswick

    Can you add few more mod/safe universities to above list..?
    I'm a bit confused, being new to this Univ. shortlisting process..

    I will search for my field of interest university's websites that you mentioned as moderate/safe.
