Hi
Is your experience in relevant field?
Do you want to go for PHD or MS?
After this much experience, if you can explain the reason to study more, I guess all universities are open for you because 9 year are too much to judge you based on your acads. Your professional achievements will count as the power of your profile. I don't think its easy to evaluate your profile. I think you should apply to a select universities(any) where you really want to go.

Hi Shalin,
Thanks a lot for the reply. To present a clearer perspective:
>>Is your experience in relevant field?
gangs: No it is not. My experience is in security (implementing and maintining cryptography protocols and framework).
>>Do you want to go for PHD or MS?
gangs: My interest is in initially pursuing a MS program and eventually a PHD in embedded systems/robotics.
I recently completed a 5 month post graduate diploma in embedded systems which is related to my MS aspiration. I have taken up a number of online courses through edx and coursera for electronics, machine learning and robotics.
However, thanks for your advice. Any other suggestions are most welcome.
