    Fall 2013 | MS Embedded and VLSI | G.R.E 310(Q-165, V-145)| TOEFL 96|BITS Pilani

    Hai Everyone...

    i am in my 4th year doing my B.E. (Hons.) Electronics and Communications Engineering.
    I wrote my GRE and TOEFL and expecting an admission in Fall 2013.
    I am very much interested in pursuing my M.S. in Embedded Systems and VLSI designing in US.
    The following are my profile details:-
    GRE - 310/340. (165-Q, 145-V)
    TOEFL - 96/120.(R-26, L-20, S-23, W-27)
    Academics - CGPA - 9.12/10 (till 3-2 semester.)
    Done 2 short term projects in 2 organizations on Embedded Systems and Communications. Will be doing one more from Jan'13.
    Done 1 short term projects on campus under a professor on Embedded Systems.
    Doing 2 more projects under other Professor on Embedded Systems and VLSI Desining.
    No Publications and Work Experience..


    Coming onto universities that i have sent my scores both GRE and TOEFL are:-
    1. University of California - Berkerley
    2. Texas A&M - College Station
    3. University of Illinois - Chicago
    4. California State University - Los Angels.

    I sent both my GRE and TOEFL scores to the above 4 universities.

    I have not applied for any university yet. Can anyone please evaluate my profile and advice me about some universities which are affordable and safe along with the part-time job opportunities available in and around the college.

    I am applying for ms in embedded systems.
    Following are the academics and the university list I have compiled

    Please let me know the chances about getting into these Universities & please classify them as ambi/mod/safe.
    10th : 81%
    12th : 71%
    BTech(EC): 68.06%
    TOEFL: 104
    GRE : 306(V - 148, Q - 158)
    AWA: 3
    2 Research papers published in international journal.
    2 internships in embedded systems.
    8 year association with NGO.

    Hi i am a final year EEE student. pursuing M.S in EMBEDDED SYSTEMS
    my profile is
    GRE 320/340(Q 168, V 152, A 3)
    TOEFL 112(R-30 W-25 S-27 L-30)
    GPA 9.53/10
    12th 93%
    two projects on embedded systems. published both in international journals
    one project to be completed next semester
    no internship or work experience

    Hi

    You have an excellent profile. The only obstruction between you and your dream university is your GRE.
    320+ score will empower you to apply to some of the best universities. If you think you can, you must give ur GRE once more. I think SJSU is pretty safe for you.
