Thread: profile evaluation...need help deciding universities..

1. UPenn - dream (good choice)
2. Ohio State University -moderate
3. Texas A&M University, College Station -dream
4. University of Colorado, Boulder -moderate
5. NUS -dream
Your acads are awesome. They will help you a lot.
Get good recommendations, write an attractive SOP and you can make in any university you listed.
You can apply to USC (safe) , NCSU (focusses on acads, so a good option) , Virginia tech, CMU (risky but gettable).
Include atleast 2 safe options like SJSU (great job oppurtunities), NEU, UPitt .

I thought it'd be easier for me to get into NUS(national univ of singapore)... cause i know of some ppl with lower acads and GRE score who into that.. why have you mentioned it as dream?

Its simple. Because I know many people getting rejects from NUS despite of an awesome profile. It is pretty competitive. Though you stand a good chance, it is not easy to come by. You need to write good SOPs and obtain good LORs as well. It's one of the best in Asia.

10th :84%
12th : 74%
Btech ece with Gpa : 6.94

no papers no experience
GRE : 315 , 161 Quant, 154 verbal,
IELTS : 7.5 ( listen 9 read 8 writ 7 speak 6)

Can some1 please guide me through regarding which type of universities I should apply for ?

how are these unis for my profile

Also i sent scores to some unis for cs .... If i want to apply for ee do i have to send the scores again or not???
