    Profile Evaluation for Fall 2013

    Hi,

    Please evaluate my profile for the mentioned universities -

    GRE - 315 ( V - 153, Q - 162, AWA - 3.5)
    TOEFL - 108
    UG GPA - 8.8/10

    Strong research internship experience in IIT Delhi and 2-3 strong projects in area of Machine Learning and Computer Vision.
    Strong extra - curricular but don't have any published papers.

    I have applied to the following universities -

    1. UPenn
    2. Iowa State Univ
    3. Texas A&M, College Station
    4. Univ. of NC, Charlotte

    Also, planning for -

    1. UMass - Amerest
    2. NCSU
    3. San Jose Univ.
    4. Sunny Brooke
    5. Oregon State
    6. Penn State

    Also, what are the chances of getting funding at these universities...esp. TA'ships

    1,2,3,4 (applied) - ambi
    UMass - moderate
    SJSU - safe
    SUNY SB - Ambi
    NCSU - Moderate
    Oregon State - moderate
    Penn state - ambi-moderate

    Have you already applied (as in submitted the application online with payment) for 1,2,3,4?

    well no...i have just sent my scores to them.

    Are u sure abt. them being ambitious. I read that they maybe moderate and TAMU, Iowa SU would be somewhat moderate-safe.

    what would be your advise or which univ. should I apply to according to you. MS in CS.

    Actually, it depends on a lot more than GRE scores. As you have good Toefl score and good Gpa, you can probably apply to them. And since you have already sent the scores, there is no point in not applying.

    My suggestion: look into the research and faculty pages of the universities and apply to those which matches your interests/experience. That way your chances of getting admit would increase a lot.
