318(Q166,V152,AWM4.5)
TOEFL 116
Acads: 64% from PU (first and last year Distinction, First class throughout,had one backlog-cleared in 1st attempt)
Mechanical Enggineering.

Am currently working at a firm, work experience is very much related to the field.
Interested fields: Manufacturing/ Mechanics/ Bio-Desinging

Have narrowed down the universities a little, need some help with the same. Could you please give your opinions about the following universities:

1. University of michigan
2. University of Minnesota
3. Penn State
4. University of MAryland
5. Georgia Tech
6. University of Florida
7. Ohio state university
8. Michigan state university
9. University of cincinnati
10. Michigan Tech
11. University of Pittsburg
12. Rutegers state univ
13. University of Illinios- Chicago

Please let me know if I am missing out any other good university too.

I think you have shortlisted the universities well.

Michigan Tech is good university for mechanical engineering.

I am currently studying in this university.

TOEFL:-84
Acads:- 70.8(FCD No backlogs)
The first 5 universities are top ranked since you have work experience I would encourage you to apply.
Also apply for reach and safe as well.

Hey swathi..i'm studying in ms ramaiah coll and am persuing mechanical engineering,4th year....just gave gre and got quant-154 and verbal-142.. cgpa= 8/10....i want to do my ms in mechanical engineering....ive interned in toyota for a month and have to still give toefel..can you please list out some reach universities and SAFE universities for me of which i am sure to get into....???

and yeah "no history of any backlogs"...looking for mainly universities in only US..please reply asap..it will help me alot.

Hey shivu, I am also applying now...you could ask the admin on this page or check other profile evaluation pages! I am not some expert at this yet to recommend universities, but you can try

Dont go blindly on this, get some more reviews through profile evaluation on this forum, on *********.com and other sites. Good luck.
