Thread: Address changed.... do I need to update passport?

hi
recently my permanent address has changed (only the door no. has been changed, rest all is the same).
Is it necessary that I change the address in my passport before I go for the visa interview??

thanks a lot for the speedy reply
jus to confirm if I got it right... I go to the visa interview with passport having my old adress...
when they ask for mailing address I give the new address... and the visa is mailed to this new address... correct??
also it would not matter if my some other docs had the new address??
