Thread: Visa rejected | 1st attempt | Chennai | 6th july | njit

Below is my VI experience..

Me: Good morning mam(smiled).
VO: Good morning(smiled), pass your documents.

VO: so hw u came to know abt NJIT?
Me: I browsed through net and also spoke to my friends and few seniors currently in us mam..

VO: Applied to any other colleges?
Me: Yes mam, Georgia tech, NJIT, RIT.

VO: admits?
Me: RIT & NJIT.

VO: reasons for choosing NJIT?
Me: The course structure(computer n info sys security) @ njit is matching with my area of interest(this s true) and moreover the course @ rit has few management papers ( also few favorite security subjects were absent there), but i want to move into technical line. hence i chose njit.

VO: Who is funding you?
Me: Parents mam, plus i ve a bank loan of 24.5lac.

VO: ok, so what is your father?
Me: Told, also added that my mom is employed and explained abt her job position.

VO: fine, wat is the combined income?
Me: 13lac pa.

VO: ok, wat is your ug %?
Me: 75%, first class wit distinction mam.

VO: any backlogs?
Me: No mam never.

VO:Wat you have been doing since your graduation?
Me: Im working in a IT comp mam.

VO: oh.. then why do u wanna join college?(not sure if she asked this or the following 'then why do u wanna quit and join college?' )
Me: being an IT professional for almost 2 yrs, i found this field has great scope in the coming decades.. and (said 1 more pt, i dont remember now).

VO: Wat wil you do after completing your MS?
Me: I will be coming back to india and may join again in the same company mam.
(this is the last ques. this answer contains the exact words tat i said to her. there was less than 2 second gap after this, i saw her reaction. she was looking into monitor. I thought of adding few more points, but got diverted by her action tat second i thought that she will retain my passport n ds 160 and will tell those golden words to me. So i was not able to add further points to my answer. And all of a sudden, she took 1 more white paper and gave it to me along with all my documents. Then came the dark words ' sorry sir, i cant grant you visa this time. Please try again'.

Me: but mam, wat is the reason?
VO: Its explained in this sheet(214 b with 'not having strong ties to come back to home country' ticked). Thank you sir.
Me: Thank you mam.

Came out smiling(didnt want to show my sadness outside) Razz and thought i should have added the point that im going on 'Leave without pay' and that my company expects me to join me after course completion.

This VO's age would be 40yrs or above. She had a smiling face and was polite. In fact she was polite with previous 2 persons as well, who had their visas approved. 1st a gal, i couldnt hear much, 2nd a guy-had 1 backlog and 61%, but both interviews was short, not as long as mine.

Friends, pls evaluate my exp. And also suggest me good answers for the following questions,

1.Why u got rejected last time?
2.Wat is the change now?
3.Why should i grant / should'nt i refuse you visa now?
4.Why r u draining up all your parents money(i.e gpf ) ?
5.Why have u taken loan and hw wil u repay it?

Note: I ve scheduled my nxt VI on 16th monday, same venue
