    Fall 2013 | MS EE-VLSI| GRE: 326 | V: 157 | Q: 169| TOEFL:NA

    BITS PILANI
    Branch-Electronics and Instrumentation
    CGPA- 7.5/10
    8/10 in recent 2 years(since some colleges are specifically asking for that)
    GRE-326/340 quant-169, verbal-157 AWA-not received yet
    TOEFL - Haven't given it yet
    Area of interest : VLSI (both analog and digital)
    Two minor projects in VLSI design(one in analog and one in digital)
    One major project on campus on Analog VLSI (frequency compensation techniques in opamps)
    one internship at NTPC on Distributed Control Systems (not relevant i guess)
    Second internship based on digital VLSI (worked on verilog)

    Applying for VLSI Design

    I have sent scores to the following four univs as part of GRE test fee
    Texas A&M University
    Arizona State University
    University of massachusetts, Amherst
    University of Texas, Dallas


    Others I am interested in:
    University of Minnesota, Twin Cities
    Pennsylvania State University
    North Carolina State University
    Oregon State University
    University of Cincinnati
    University of Southern California

    what are my chances of getting into these universities?

    Just saw a profile almost like yours! From your univ....as for ur chances -

    Tamu might be tough. Ambitious.
    Asu and Amherst are gettable.
    Dallas is quite safe.
    U Minn - moderate chances
    Penn state and ncsu - tough. But u could try.

    The others are within reach
