Hi,
Please tell whether GRE Subject test(Computer Science) can boost chances of financial aid/TA/RA/GA in case of following profile,
1. SSC(10th, CBSE) - 82.4%
2. HSC(12th, CBSE) - 75%
3. BE(Computer Science & Engineering) - 78.67%
4. GRE - 1290(Quant - 780, Verbal - 510, AWA - 3.0)
5. TOEFL - 110
6. Work Exp --
i) TCS - As Systems Engineer for 2 years, worked with South African telecom provide client on Java technology (Struts, JSP, PL/SQL)
ii) Oracle Financial Services - Currently working as Assistant Technical Analyst on Flexcube product
I am planning to take GRE subject test as my GRE score seems to be less for applying to some of the top notch universities like Carnegie Mellon etc. Besides, I am also planning to apply for MSCF(Masters in Computational Finance) course of CMU. Could you please suggest whether my GRE subject test score can prove helpful in securing admission in MSCF.
Thanks & Regards,
Ishan D
Ask the university people for that i am not sure whether you have to take it or not. you can expect TA/GA but most universities give that in second semester not in first. RA depends on how many paper publications you did and how good are you at subject then again they will test your skills in first sem and from second might give you one.
CMU needs a GRE of atleast 1450+ so prepare for an ultimate GRE score!
