    telecommunication engineering

I am currently in my third year of engineering. I have yet to take GRE, but I plan to sometime around September. How do I proceed thereafter? Should I quicken the process? I also want to apply for financial aid. What will help boost my chances?
I have decided to pursue MS in Telecommunications. Is that a good choice? What are the best choices among universities for it?
    Suggestions and comments are welcome.

Actually its a gamble....the gre dates will show as being blocked for later dates. But they'll open up suddenly....there is no first come first serve basis for gre....its random at best. So just check everyday. Suddenly it'll open up for the dates u want.

Also choose atleast 4 unis that u'll consider....at the end of exam u can send ur scores to them. That way u can save 23 x 4 dollars of unnecessary score reporting later on....also it saves time as ets takes 2 weeks to deliver scores to unis once u order new reports.....

Placements? In third year?...anyway, even if u get placed you won't sign a bond till final year. Its not allowed by the regulation...hence go ahead with placements.

U could try optics, photonic, microwave circuit design, biomedical, antenna design, terra hertz study, fibre optimization etc....all these won't be listed as main subjects, but u can definitely specialize on them.

Dude believe me, preparing for GRE totally helps in ur placements.. u need not prepare for the Aptitude test if u do GRE quants.. Telling this from personal experience..
