I want to pursue my master's with specialization in the field of either 'Embedded systems' or 'Robotics and control'.
After the research of couple of weeks I have decided to apply for the following universities :

1) UNIVERSITY OF DELWARE
2) UNIVERSITY OF CINCINNATI
3) UNIVERSITY OF NORTH CAROLINE, CHARLOTTE
4) WICHITA STATE UNIVERSITY, KANSAS
5) OAKLAND UNIVERSITY
6) WRIGHT STATE UNIVERSITY
7) TENNESSEE TECH UNIVERSITY
8) ROCHESTER INSITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY
9) UNIVERSITY OF CALIFORNIA, SAN DIEGO

Given my profile and area of interest, can anybody suggest me which out of these are safe, moderate and/or ambitious ( or in my case like UCSD is over-ambitious ) universitites ? and is there any other university which you could suggest me ????

UNIVERSITY OF NORTH CAROLINE, CHARLOTTE : Its a walkin university. We'll easily get admit. But this is not a good university.

RIt is a good university to apply too.

For University of Cincinnati, the admission is open for fall quarters only. You were correct. But they provide you the part time admission (i.e. without financial aid) for spring semester. Guess, then UoC is ruled out. What is do you think about Oakland, Wichita and Tennessee ? You are also looking forward for your major is 'embedded or robotics' ?

Donno abt these three universities. Yes i am also looking for my majors in embedded systems.

ur list of unis is quite balanced yes UCSD is over ambitiious but mainly cuz of ur UG mark....u could rather try unis like ASU which ate ambitious but not out of reach....and UNCC is safe but its not quite a bad or walkin uni...if at all u wanna change, try UNC Chapel hill.

I have made up my mind to apply for following universities.
1) University of Cincinnati
2) University of North Caroline, Charlotte
3) California State University, Chico
4) Portland State University
5) Wichita State University, Kansas
6) Oakland University
7) Tennessee Tech University
8) Wright State University

I have just one last question now. Which one is better? Portland state or California State, Chico ? considering economical aspect, job opportunities, campus and infrastructure etc. I'd really be glad to know which is the better, so as to make my mind up on one of these two.
