I'm gng to write GRE exam in the month of october,2012 and how much time will it take for getting admission into a university and I wish to go US by fall 2013.Please suggest me some best universities for VLSI and EMBEDDED SYSTEMS.{am an ECE student with above 3.50 GPA and i still left with 2sems to cmplete my B-Tech}

u will ve to apply to univ by dec, they ll notify u by april- may . all d best. first take ur gre , do well. den u can break ur head regarding univ

october may be late....choose ur 4 basic unis by now itself....temme ur approx gre and toefl score and post ur profile....3.5 gpa is very good, BUT october gre would be touch and go for top notch colleges.

So send ur scores to the unis at the end of gre itself. cuz for top colleges, november-dec is ideal time to apply....but for others, jan will also do.

For embedded NCSU is the best. for vlsi, u can look at oregon state and U mass amherst...also look at U Minn, ASU, Ga TEch,
