    University of Texas, Austin

    Hi -

I have been working in the semi-conductor industry for the past 2 years.
I gave my GRE today and got a score of 323(166 Quants + 157 Verbal).
I have a 9.75/10 CGPA in my undergrad (BE -Electronics and Communication). I have a paper published in the IEEE.

I've always been interested to get into UT, Austin and was preparing for GRE with that in mind, aiming for a score in the range 325-330. But my GRE score today has turned me apprehensive.
I understand that a comprehensive evaluation of my profile is not possible at this point in time without a TOEFL score (I haven't taken TOEFL yet), but I would atleast want to know if i had to take the GRE again to improve my chances of getting into UT, Austin.

    Appreciate your response.

    Regards
    Vignesh

Since u have lot of time to apply for Fall 2013 it is better to take GRE again and score above 328 for easy admission into UTAUSTIN.
Your current profile has 60% chances of admit.

ASU and GaTech are easily within reach...as for the others, u stand a decent chance with all...for embedded u could try NCSU and for digital VLSI U mass Amherst is doing very very well.... (but it wont be ranked high overall).
