University Selection at the End of GRE Exam

hi, i have completed 3rd year in electronics and tele communication branch from NIT Raipur. As of now my CGPA is 7.6 with no backlogs. I have only one participation certificate of paper presentation. I have attended many workshops from prestigious universities does it help in getting admission and i don't have any certificate from sports. I want to do MS in USA and i'm confused upon in which area do i have to specialize. I would like to know all majors offered by all universities together in USA. I will be writing gre on 30th may and at the end of the exam, i will have to send my score to 4 universities. I need some help in choosing universities. At present in practice session i'm scoring in the range 300-310 and i want to know that with this score in which universities do i have a maximum probability of getting selection. I want someone to suggest me some universities for 300-310 & 310-320 marks. I want well ranked university with good placements, good funding and safer place. I request someone to please suggest some colleges as soon as possible....

try the profile evaluation section in msinus.com.....also, for electronics there are LOADS of fields. but mostly all common ones. I suggest u just check some 5 or 10 uni websites and see wat field they are foind research in.

The above are quite decent unis. How much did you score in gre? Also do you have any papers published along with ur workshops?

The 4 unis may not feature in the top tier, but they are very good nonetheless. Also, safe locations.

As for other unis, I suggest u do some more hunting on unis based on your subject interests...its not easy to suggest unis for others.

Akshay, i got 144-verbal, 163-quant so total of 307. Do i stand a chance of getting selected in TOP TIER universities and also can i get financial aid? And i haven't published any paper.

Ur gre mark is decent....but with 7.6 and no papers, it'll be very tough to get into top tier unis. By top tier I mean uiuc, u Wisconsin, u Maryland, ucla etc...

The 4 unis u already selected are within ur reach though....also financial aid during admission is tough. But once u go there, u can get aid...anyways, if u want aid now itself, u've to apply to unis below ur profile.
