Question confused about Profile evaluation HELP!!!

hi guys. i have evaluated my profile using the evaluation tool. base on the tables, i have earned an score of 184 which permits me chose A-ranked universities. but alot of friend have admitted in A+ universities, although they had a weaker resume than me. how is possible? is there any thing wrong with the evaluation tool? is it true that getting admitted largely depends on chance?
in addition, here is my profile:

see, it depends on wat their SOP said and wat field they chose...for A+ unis, its not JUST marks and resume. its abt how ur profile stands out. Like u said, ppl wit less profiles may have got through but i knw of this one guy who got ALL rejects from A level unis even though he had a great profile.

Also, the profile eval tool is a rough idea. not a subatantial guide. u can choose from there, look at unis and then post here for detailed analysis.....also admissions vary from year to year. NCSU has been extremely competitive this year. While stanford gave admit in EE dept top my frend with foll profile - 1540 Gre, 110 toefl, 9.1 cgpa (SRM Univ), 2 papers. thts all.

I saw already tht maximus199 gave u a good evaluation. Tht was pretty close. but i'd say maybe Gerogia tech is kinda gettable and so is UC irvine....also, remember this - jobs are about ur contacts and not only the name of ur uni (like in india). It works better to be the big fish in a small pond (in terms of aid, rapport, contacts, opportunities etc).
