Question What can be the approach to apply for MS in this scenario?

    Hi,

I am curently working as a software engineer from past 5 years with a good experience in .NET technologies. It has always been in my great interest to do MS. Somehow due to personal commitments and financial constarints I was not able to do this right from the day I passed out of college. I would like to pursue Masters in Control Systems which is realted to my BE in Mechanical Engg. But I am doubtful how can I any get into a MS program like that since I have been out of core area of studies for 5 years in a different field?

Has anybody tried doing with such a gap and a switch in technical areas? If so how can I take this up and make it look better while applying for Universities?

    Thanks.

    Regards,
    SP.

    Hi Prasenjit,
Congratulations on your GRE score. How did you do in your analytical writing? How about your undergrad percentage? What was your major? All these play a big role in university selection. Also are you planning on for Spring 2014 or Fall 2014?

Feel free to reach out to us on here or *********@gmail.com
