    score required to apply for UCLA fall 2013 with aid

    hey guys
    i am a b.tech ece third year student and i want to do my masters in embedded systems
    i would like to go for UCLA and ASU as of now
    will e giving my GRE in july and i require ur suggestions on the take.
    i need financial aid at any cost. please tell me how much should i score

    for ASU aim for a gre above 720-740 (quants) and maybe 500 (verbal). Ur marks should be around 75% or maybe a 7.8 cgpa.

    BUT ucla is big league. u'll need atleast 1450-1500+ gre. and a cgpa close to 9. PLUS ur university matters. reputed unis get good chances for UCLA. Also u'll need research papers or publications in IEEE or other journals.

    But i'll tell u tht aid is hard to get in UC system of colls....so u'll need a stellar profile to get it. among my frends who got aid in ucla the least impressive profile was - gre 1490, cgpa 9.1 (anna university MIT campus), active in extra curriculars, one internshp at IBM chennai, 4 papers (2 were IEEE).

    can u suggest me any other A league universities for embedded systems
    my profile is CGPA till 5th sem is 8.85, have two commercial project completed and one project under development, internship at ECIL Hyderabad for one month, good extra curriculars and no publications. i am from VIT University!!

    You can try ncsu, u Minn tc, ASU, uc sd, Ohio state, cmu (try to improve ur GPA further for tht), u Florida.....try usin the profile eval tool in msinus.com....
