    ur profiles is quite decent. can i knw why u wanna apply for spring?

    Spring admissions are tough. in sense, the intake is lesser, all courses aren available and surely aid is almost nil.

    Wit ur profile, IF u applied for FALL, ur approx chances would be :-

    ASU - moderate
    UTD - good chacnes (but apply well in advance)
    Akron - safe to mod (but am not very sure so pls verify this)
    Houston - mod (competition in terms of indian applicants)
    SUNY - mod (same reason as above)
    LSU - sould be safe
    clemson - safe
    Arkansas - safe/mod (quite a few indians go here)....

    U could try Iowa state, UNCC, as well.

    PLs, do a proper research on uni based on ur area of interest. coz most of uni, u've chosen aren't doing good when it comes PS or controls.
    U may get an admit from all the unis(ones u've shortlisted) but there shud be some value for every $ u spend on that uni. I've seen ppl regretting after coming here, no use. So, spend some time researching on unis n come out with a better list of unis.
    1) ASU---->top notch for Power sys.
    2) UTD---->okish
    3)university of Akron---->replace
    4) university of Houston---->okish
    5)SUNNY Buffalo----> not good for EE
    6)LSU----->replace
    7)clemson university---->was good for Controls few years back.
    8)university of arkansas fayetteville ---->replace.

    check these:
    -washington state uni--->(member of PSERC & has SEL research lab, good research)--->moderate
    -uni of wisc madison---->( excellent research in microgrid & renewble energy)-->ambi
    -NCSU----->(best in power electronics)--->ambi(as per fall2012)
    -OSU---->(v good in power electronics & drives)---->ambi
    -Gatech--->(overall good in PS)-->gettable
    -WIchitha state uni---(decent & PSERC member)---safe
    -howard uni---(same as above)----safe
