Query - MS in Instrumentation and control

Hi Guys,

Hope everyone is in gr8 health and spirits. I have a question, which i think have been posted many times before, yet i didn't find a satisfactory answer to it. So thought i could start my own thread and try and get important info from you guys.

I did my undergrad in Electronics and Instrumentation. Now i understand that department of Instrumentation and control is not directly present in United States . The problem is, when i have to apply (which i have to as deadlines are closing in) , i am terribly confused about which subjects/stream to choose from!

To add more to this confusion, i work right now at one of the software based company (still a regret), so its only the industrial experience that counts. Nothing of the current experience will have a big impact in my MS in this particular domain.

So my question is, what are the courses/streams which i can opt if i want to do MS in automation and control? I do have the list of best colleges, but they belong to EE department. Anyone can provide links/list of the colleges in US with respect to the query above?

Any information on this will be highly appreciated.
