In a Dilemma to write GRE again or not. Need Help.
Hi Guys,
I took my GRE in July-2009 (Quant-560, Verbal-430, AWA-2.5) and we know that the scores are valid for 5 years. Now, my fear is not about my low GRE scores but for the following reasons,
1) Firstly, How do the universities consider the validity period of GRE scores. Is it like they are valid until my application is processed and I get the i20 or is it required for them to be valid until my classes start? (FALL 2014).
2) Secondly, do universities, nowadays consider over 4 years old GRE scores?. Forget the top universities since I know that I dont stand a chance but what about the average kind of universities. Is it ok if they are within 5 years old?
I would greatly appreciate any help that I can get since am running out of time to apply for FALL-2014 and importantly I do not have the confidence that I will get any close to 290 if I take the GRE now since am completely out of touch with Quants.
