Working 1 year in software OR preparing for pre-requisites - Feedback please

Hello,

I will be applying for MS in Computer Science in Fall 2014. I have a secured job in Accenture, India currently but having thoughts about not joining and instead working on some math courses so that my per-requisite bases are covered when I join the MS program.

I did not have Math in Grades 11th and 12th, completed engineering in Bioinformatics this year and have also taken programming courses during the past 2 years.

Please advise the pros and cons of 1) Working in a software company for a year and its benefits, if any, in the next few years AND 2) Taking a year off to work on preparing for pre-requisites.
