My chances in UT Dallas, Rutgers in New Brunswick, University of Tennessee in Knoxville, Arizona State University, University of North Carolina in Charlotte.


I found a great course on Solar Energy in ASU, but it's very costly. Also in NJIT, but it is also a bit costly.

UNCC is kinda cheap, I have great chances there and courses are also good. Is it a good university ?

What are my chances in UT Knoxville ? They have a great power electronics lab.

Also UT Dallas.

Please suggest me some more univs of my range. Thank you.

Would my chances increase as not many Indians opt for Knoxville or Charlotte ? The diversity factor.

Rutgers in New Brunswick - moderate chances
University of Tennessee in Knoxville - safe
Arizona State University - moderate (but gettable)
University of North Carolina in Charlotte - ditto

and actually quite a lotta ppl consider UNCC. But tis quite a gfood uni. so do consider it :)

This list alone won't be. No list is :-) u gotta assimilate them all....room and board is boarding and lodging costs. Rent + food expenses

Means if we don't use the university housing, we are not entitles to pay that right ?

Yup. Anyways, most students stay off campus only

How is University of Cincinnati ? Do you know anything about the one year course they offer in electrical engineering ?

Its quite a good univ...I'm not sure about tat course. I haven come across it

Florida State University in Tallahassee seems to be good. But it's acceptance rate is just 42% according to wikipedia. Is it worth a try ?

I'm not sure of how good it is. No idea....but if its good, then give it a shot....its not 0% :-) there is 100% chance tat u-d be part of that 42%.

Toefl -will give on 15 jul. I have applied to 4 universities.(ASU, Fsu, UT dallas, Colorado boulder) Want to apply to boston and purdue for embedded systems.

Is this list quite okay?? should I modify anything? Help me out pl.

Ur list is fine....Boston may be gettable ambitious but Purdue is very tough....and pls remember tat Boston would be expensive to live in.

:) No but am apprehensive if ill choose the wrong univ..Wanted to know as the cost of tuition is low and others stuff is pretty cheap too

I'm not entirely sure about embedded. But I've heard the uni is decent.

It's actually a bit costly. Nearly 13,000 dollars just tuition.

There are other good universities with lesser costs.

Florida state uni is 13k per semester?? Wow! That's expensive

So apparently San Diego and Rutgers don't have spring intakes. I will have to find some other universities to apply now.

Yes...many unis dont have spring intake. And those tat do, dont have a fixed number....
