DS-160 form work expeirence section doubt

A doubt in work experience section in DS-160. I've been self employed for almost two years after my engineering. I've been doing freelance developing but there are no employers and thus no fixed salary as such. So, should just I select student here? and if they ask me why I have a gap after by BE, I can say I have been doing freelance developing. Or, should mention what I've been doing? If I have to mention what I've been doing, its difficult because there's nothing to write in employer, employer address, contact, salary etc. Help please. Thanks
