    Hi Jagadish,

You can apply for Kent State university ,SIUC requires 298 of gre i guess and rest of the Universities are risky.what's your percentage by the way.might suggest you more Universities

    Hello,

I'm planning this Spring 2016 and shortlisted couple of Univs

I'll quote a quick message down here about my stats till now :

    Grad(b.tech) Percentile : 68%
    GRE : 279
    IELTS : 6.5
    Work Experience : 2 years and 8 months(running) at Amazon.com
Role : Transaction Risk Investigator(not relevant to my discipline though it's a very good area of expertise)
My Majors : Computer Science and Computer Engg
No plans to re-take GRE however I'm in search of help finding an optimistic university/School.

I've dived and shortlisted couple of universities however I'm really not sure whether if I'll get an admit into them. I request you to suggest me few good Univ's for my profile.

    Shortlisted Universities :

    University of Illinois at Springfield
SUNY at New Paltz but I would prefer any other good SUNY.
Old Dominion Univ at Norfolk, Virginia
CSU at East Bay but I would prefer any other good CSU.
    Kent State University
    University of Arkansas at Fayetteville

I also few other in mind but I dont want to mention here cause I really really know nothing about them or the vicinity

However, I request the experts in this site to suggest me some really good univ(should be economical as well) in doing me the needful.

PS : I would also like to chose a college where I could easily get a part time cause my expenses might require one.

Thanks for your attention to this message

    Hi Sunil,

I think Gre:279 is low, and i think all the universities are Risky.expect Old Dominion university. You need to go for all sure admit universities.one of my friend applied for MIS.MIS course requires very high Gre score it seems. Apart from having experience you need to have Gre Score also, will check with him and will get back to you.

    Hi Jagadeep,

If it is UCM you will get it.But,if it comes to SIUC i doubt it.because for fall 2015 one of my friend applied to the same University ,she got Gre:293, ielts:6.5 and Percentage of 67% .she was suggested by her friend who is studing in that university.so she applied. But,she din't get it.At the later date she took the help of someone from her relatives and she processed she got the admit for other universities atleast. So,you take a decision about this.

    Hello,

    Thanks for replying.

Yes, I admit that my GRE is low but I couldn't make it any more good of that while working now. So, technically no plans of re-taking GRE now.
I just need to deep dive and go through into any average rated university at this point of time.

Sorry for not mentioning but my majors is Computer Science and/or Computer Engineering.

Please get back to me after seeking advice on my profile.

    Many thanks
    Sunil

    Thanks again Bhaghya,
I'm sure about UCM and Western Kentucky. SIUC was suggested by a consultancy. They said I would get an i20 and aslo funding. Perhaps they have considered my work experience. The only concern is visa success rate for UCM ? Please, share info regarding it.

How about University of Houston Clearlake and University of Missouri - Kansas City?

    Hi Jagadeep,

Ya, UCM got a very good Visa Rating,UCM asks for Wes evaluation. And UHCL will be Safe for you ,if you don't have any backlogs. But University of Missouri Kansas city is risky for you.If you want i will refer you a person,May be he can help you out with rest of the Universities.Because my friend and cousin has gone through them only, even i'm planning to contact him.Heard that he does really very good about this kind of Information.
