    Query regarding F1 visa interview

    Hi,

I have been offered Graduate Assistantship from UF, Gainesville. My husband is already in US at RPI, NY since 2012 for his PhD Studies.
    My queries are:
    1. Since my husband is in US, is there any chance that my F1 may get rejected on grounds that I may not return back after my studies? How can I convince?
    2. My passport was issued on 2010. I got married on 2014. Do I need to update my passport before going for visa processing? My I-20 has been issued by the university with status as 'Married'.
    3. I have received my I-20 this week. My classes will start on August. I have not yet started my visa processing. Is there enough time to complete the process? I am from Kolkata.

    Thanks

    1. You should show strong ties to Indian like property.
    2. Don't know
    3. Yes there is enough time. There are more than two months. BTW haven't you thought of this before getting the I20?
