Get 320+ in gre. A very strong lor from iisc. Draft a very clear sop. Yes, some more research related work/ieee publishing/projects etc and u'll stand very strong chances. Also, make sure ur in top 1 percentile of ur class. Or atleast maintain this cgpa....that will do :-) Try to put in some community service maybe. Help out with some ngo. Teach some kids etc. Get certificates...that'll give a great profile.
Hey Akshay, I just completed my second year of engineering, my scores are 10th: 94% 12th: 94% cgpa after 4 sems :9.1 im currently doing a case study under a professor in iisc i have participated in organizing fests in the college and rotary events i want to apply for fall 2014 admissions, i want uiuc ,what do you think i should to improve my profile, do more research related work ? do you think i stil have time ?
