What is 214b visa Rejection in F1 Visa Interview?

To qualify for a visitor or student visa, an applicant must meet the requirements of sections 101(a)(15)(B) or (F) of the INA respectively. Failure to do so will result in a refusal of a visa under INA 214(b).

F1 visa is a temporary visa which is not intended for permanent stay in USA. If the visa officer understand that you won't come back to home country after your education US, he will reject your visa under 214b.

Can i reapply for visa if i am Denied under 214b?

If your visa was refused 214(b), it means your application has been denied. This decision cannot be appealed. However, you may reapply by following the visa application process you used for the first application. Your must again pay fees and make an appointment. A different officer will hear your case. Please review the information on the refusal letter you received at the time of your interview.
