Two information that had me confused while in the Visa appointment process and payment process, which i found out.

      1. ACCOUNT TYPE: BANA MUMBAI Account, TIER1.... > This is a CURRENT ACCOUNT and the subtype is DOMESTIC.
I had to research a lot to get this data. When i added it as a Savings account in my ICICI bank the payment was always failing.

      2. RECEIPT NUMBER : What is this number? Where will i get it? I had no clue about it and tried adding the confirmation number.
Eventually i realized that we have to wait for some time. It took around 3-4 hours for me when i finally found a mail in my mail box with the receipt number. Actually it is similar to the TIER1.... account number, where you have to remove the first 5 chars including TIER & 1 (or 2). The remaining 12 chars are the receipt number. And you dont need to do anything,. When you log back into the visa site, the number was auto updated there and i just had to go and get and appointment.

      Hope this helps others.

      Hi
While making the visa fee thru NEFT, the receipt number is automatically updated in the appointment schedule screen and I was able to book an appointment. But I did not get a payment receipt separately by mail or any other means.
But I understand that I need to produce a receipt as proof of payment ! where do I get this receipt? Any idea?

      Gyus,

Can some one help me with instructions on paying visa fees using IMPS for 2 applicants? H1 and H4.
Ustrveldoc website show Total Fee INR 25840.00 but IMPS page shows Amount: INR 12920 for only one applicant.

Should I pay INR 25840.00 in a single transaction or make 2 transactions of INR 12920 on same MMID?
Even though ustraveldocs site says - Remember to make only one payment per unique account number.

      Kind of confusing. Please help.

Hello, I got the SMS for reference number. Is this the same as the receipt number?

      It's very straight forward.

Register the unique account number in your bank account and make the transaction.
Within 3 hours you will get the receipt number through mail and get it populated automatically in the receipt column.

There you go to make an appointment.
