MEM is a decent course. But extremely challenging. Don't apply for the heck of it unless you have an acumen for finance and business. Also it's a new course, so not a lot of market exposure and jobs at the moment. The thing of today is MIS and MEM will follow suit in the coming few years.

Please check your facts right! The course is made for technology managers in the emerging market. So the demand is always there no matter what kind of engineering job one does. Infact technology policies on product design & decision analysis is the biggest challenge what corporates face today.

I am eagerly waiting because i need to go for 2015 fall.

      That's not true.
Anyone can pursue MS in Engineering Management while Industrial Engineering can only be taken up by Students pertaining to Mechanical Background

      Hi,

As said above, Engineering management relates to IT Field, computer science etc but i have seen the subjects and there are other options as well related to supply chain management as well.

Correct me if m wrong but if one has to go for IT field only why not go for MIS instead of MEM. I mean there should be some difference between these courses.

Im interested in pursuing management degree but with mechanical background.. Would MEM be good choice for this.. Or should i stick to MS in production? Does MEM require any knowledge about IT field?
